Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger
High density packaging in power electronic applications has increased heat dissipation levels in enclosures that are ever decreasing in size. Therefore, effective enclosure cooling has become increasingly more important. In response to this growing trend and need, Dau has designed and developed a series of air-to-air heat pipe heat exchangers to effectively prevent sensitive electronic components from over-heating.
Traditionally, air conditioners or liquid-to-air heat exchangers have been used for cabinet cooling, but such solutions are quite expensive to purchase and maintain. However, Dau's heatpipe heat exchangers offer exceptional reliability with very low maintenance. They are designed to mount either on the top or the side of an electronic cabinet such that the internal and external air streams are isolated from one another to prevent the ingress of moisture and dust into the electronic circuitry. All heatpipe exchangers come with the mounting flanges that provide the separation of the inside and outside air streams, while some units can also have fans directly attached. All heat pipe heat exchangers are custom designed to dissipate the required heat dissipation at the low design temperature differentials above ambient.
